THE FIRST POSITIONBeginner Ballet
New to ballet or around 6 months of practice
Designed for complete beginners and those starting out, with small classes and individual teacher guidance.
All group classes are taught in person in central London. Private lessons are arranged individually.

A LITTLE FREEDOM.
Elegant, but never
too well-behaved.
CLOUBALLET / A DIFFERENT KIND OF DISCIPLINE
Rooted in ballet.
Open to life.
Every class,
something gained.
Ballet is a discipline, and a way of paying attention. To a phrase of music. To the placement of a hand. To what changes when you try again.
Clouballet brings that attention into everyday life. Serious about the practice. Curious about everything around it.

The practice
continues.

Again. Still here.
A few things we return to.
01 / TECHNIQUEThe work between the steps.
A transition is part of the dance. Notice how the weight arrives, where the eyes travel, and whether the breath continues. The moments between positions deserve the same attention as the positions themselves.
02 / MUSICALITYListen before you move.
Before marking a combination, listen to a whole phrase. Where does it gather energy? Where does it settle? Counting gives the movement a structure; listening gives it a reason.
03 / EVERYDAY BALLETUnfortunately, discipline.
Some days the achievement is simply returning. The familiar barre. The first plié. A small correction that feels different this time. A practice is built from these ordinary repetitions.
